Detechtion Technologies Announces the Availability of Callout Acknowledgement and Escalation in the Latest Release of its Industrial IoT Platform

HOUSTON, TX (December 12, 2018) – Detechtion Technologies, the global leading Industrial IoT and Mobility solution provider in the oil and gas industry, today announced that its Enbase™ Dashboard software now offers callout acknowledgement and escalation to more efficiently support the handling of downtime events.

“Detechtion’s new callout acknowledgement and escalation feature allows us to make sure downtime events are receiving immediate attention in an efficient, consistent, low-cost way across our fleet. In helping us improve our assets’ availability, it is helping us accomplish our mission of providing customers the safest, most efficient and reliable gas compression services in the energy industry,” said Chad Lenamon, President and CEO of Pegasus Optimization Managers LLC.

Enbase Dashboard’s callout acknowledgement capability enables a compressor technician to acknowledge that they are taking responsibility for a callout notification from the field. This ownership is then communicated to their fellow technicians and made visible within the Enbase Dashboard.

If a technician is unable to acknowledge a callout notification, Enbase Dashboard will escalate the callout to the next level supervisor and continue escalation on a defined interval until someone acknowledges ownership of the event. An area supervisor can then subscribe only to these escalated notifications, reducing noise and putting focus on unaddressed needs. Visibility to which technicians are already working on what assets on the Enbase Dashboard provides insight into who is available to address the unacknowledged callout, enabling more targeted communications and an increase in critical availability percentage points.

Because Enbase offers configuration of assigned technicians as well as escalation paths for assets and asset groups, there are none of the delays associated with a callout service manually determining who to call for a given issue. The callouts automatically go to the appropriate users as they occur.

HOUSTON, TX (November 14, 2018) – Detechtion Technologies, the global leading Industrial IoT and Mobility solution provider in the oil and gas industry, today announced that its Fieldlink™ mobility software now offers enhanced location-based services, including geofencing and location tracking, to support fully automated and auditable field data capture.

Producers and vendors can take advantage of Fieldlink’s ability to perform an activity, such as changing a job’s status, or reminding the user of key safety information, when a mobile device enters or leaves a geofenced area. Such capability increases the number of applications Fieldlink can provide across compression management, chemical management, wellpad automation, electronic ticketing for hauling applications and EH&S compliance.

Enabling location tracking can provide evidence of vehicle check-in, custody signatures, and wait time. Capturing such information can ensure more accurate, auditable data for the producer and more timely payment (and reduced DSO) for the vendor.

Detechtion Technologies to Support Canada’s Multi-Sector Air Pollutants Regulation in Enalysis™

Calgary, Alberta (September 21, 2018) – Detechtion Technologies, the global leading Industrial IoT and Mobility solution provider in the oil and gas industry, today announced that Enalysis™ supports the registration of pre-existing engines under Part 2 of Canada’s Multi-Sector Air Pollutants Regulations (MSAPR). Enalysis™ customers will be able to take advantage of these new features to comply with the January 1st 2019 deadline to register their pre-existing engines.

Enalysis™ offers the capability to efficiently store and retrieve the information required to register pre-existing engines by extending the range of information that is stored against an asset, allowing users to update and retrieve information for multiple assets at a time, and allowing for the tracking of other engine driven equipment such as generators, pumps and pump jacks within Enalysis™.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become technically competent in the responsibilities of the Engineering Account Managers (EAMs), including:
    • Compressor theory, operation and optimization
    • All facets and applications of Detechtion’s web-based application
    • Client communication methods and skills
    • Compressor field activities
  • Under the direction of mentors:
    • Understand fully the clients’ needs and desires for using the Detechtion application, and support the EAM in the most efficient way possible

  • Responsible for installation and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control components on gas compressor units and other well site equipment.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Modbus protocol (e.g., RS-485, TCP).
  • Troubleshooting of electrical control panels.
  • Inspect existing panels to insure proper function and application.

Britt Spencer, a Director in Detechtion’s Professional Services organization, was invited to speak on how oil & gas producers are using Mobility solutions to improve the effectiveness and cost efficiency of produced-water management in the Marcellus Shale. A case study will be offered to show how a Mobility solution was used to automate electronic water management run tickets.

Electronic water management run tickets are just the beginning. Water management in Detechtion’s Fieldlink™ Mobility product provides date, time and geo-stamping on all hauling activities to ensure complete accountability for arrival, departure, load and unload events. Source and destination information is captured as incurred including such things as vehicle check-in, custody signatures, and integrated phone functionality. In addition, the Fieldlink™ based, water-management solution also provides scheduling and dispatching, fully integrating with accounting and invoicing systems, to manage the process from start to finish. The solution also includes an automatic pricing module and streamlined invoice approval process between the producer and water hauler.

The new electronic process now generates approved invoices for payment in 2-3 days compared to the several weeks it used to take, resulting in more accurate, auditable data for the producer and more timely payment (and reduced DSO) for the water hauler.

Detechtion Extends the First IIoT Edge Device in Oil and Gas to Incorporate Optimization

Designed specifically for oil and gas, the Enbase™ Hub defines the new paradigm for managing field assets in remote, hazardous environments. Designed to go beyond simple monitoring, the Enbase™ Hub empowers users to monitor, protect, control, and optimize critical assets.

The initial release will be targeted at natural gas compressors. The Enbase™ Hub now has the capability to use the predictive models from Enalysis™ to calculate metrics such as high rod loads and low rod reversals so they may be included in the parameters monitored and used in safety shutdown systems for compressors, preventing catastrophic, costly equipment failures. Moreover, the KPIs calculated in Enalysis™ can also be used to update setpoints as part of a compression control strategy to ensure that a compressor is operating at its peak efficiency.
