The 2019 reporting deadline is fast approaching for the submission of the Schedule 9 and 10 reports for part 2 of Canada’s Multi-Sector Air Pollutants Regulations (MSAPR). If you have yet to submit those reports, you still have time to get them in by July 1, 2020.
If you have not had the chance yet to talk to a member of the Detechtion team regarding MSAPR and Detechtion's solution built into the Enalysis software, reach out and we will be happy to assist you. Otherwise, below is a helpful reminder on the types of details you should be aware of for the corresponding reports.
Register units to the registry that were added in 2019. This includes pre-existing, modern and replacement units (turbines/motors).
A schedule 10 report will need to be submitted for the 2019 reporting year if your fleet has active modern engines. For modern engines, an initial performance test needs to be performed within 12 months after the first operating hour as regular-use. If you have performed either the initial performance test or subsequent performance tests or emissions checks, you will need to submit the results of the performance test(s) or emission check(s) as part of the Schedule 10 Report.
As MSAPR compliance is part of an ongoing process, below are some of the near term time lines and guidance we recommend you consider. Firstly, if you haven't done so already, we recommend determining which compliance option [Flat Limit vs. Yearly Average] you will choose for your compliance between 2021-2025. Depending on that choice, the timelines below can be used as a guide for achieving compliance.
