Put simply, if the efficiency of the cylinder is performing worse than what is being predicted, it can be assumed that gas is either slipping past the valves, piston rings, or there is a restriction between where the measurements were taken. Operating with damaged valves, damaged piston rings, or a restriction reduces the performance of the equipment and could result in further damage to the asset if not addressed.
